CD Review: Given To The Wild by Maccabees

[review]

We’re not afraid to define them the new Pink Floyd. Their 3rd album, Given To The Wild, is the perfect combination of elegant and unexpected arrangements,  marking the new era of alternative rock. It earned them a well deserved NME award for Best Album of Year: once you listen to songs like Feel To Follow – a masterpiece evolving on velvet guitars into a final cascade of stellar sounds – Forever I’ve Known, Unknow, Heave and Pelican – to name some, you’ll understand why. These guys from London are probably the best new act on the scene of Alternative Rock since Arcade Fire. A must-have!
