Spandau Ballet confirm second show at the O2

Due to popular demand, Spandau Ballet, have today announced a second show live at The O2 in London on Wednesday 18 March 2015.

Tickets go on general sale at 9am on Thursday 23 October and are available at AXS.com or by calling 08448 24 48 24.

The band will now perform on both the 17 and 18 March 2015.

Spandau Ballet are one of Britain’s great iconic bands having sold over 25 million records, scored numerous multi-platinum albums and amassed 23 hit singles across the globe since their humble beginnings as a group of friends with dreams of stardom in the late 1970s. It wasn’t long before they became fully-fledged members of the iconic Blitz Club scene and established themselves as one of the super-groups of the 80s. After two decades apart, the band reformed in 2009, embarking on a sold-out tour. SOUL BOYS OF THE WESTERN WORLD marks the first time their story has been documented on film.

The band recently premiered ‘Soulboys Of The Western World’ to a sold out Royal Albert Hall and reunited on stage in the UK for the first time since 2010 performing some of their anthems, which were a soundtrack to a generation.

ROLLING STONE “When (Steve) Norman stepped up front to blow his scripted sax break in “True,” the crowd received it with the kind of shouts and applause New Yorkers always gave Clarence Clemons when he took his thundering-tenor spotlight in Madison Square Garden for Bruce Springsteen’s “Jungleland.” The ecstasy in the Albert Hall was that kind of loud.

MARK KERMODE “Despite having never understood the appeal of the New Romantics, I enjoyed the hell out of SOUL BOYS OF THE WESTERN WORLD. Gold!”

Today also sees the release of ‘The Story, The Very Best of Spandau Ballet’ featuring all of the greatest hits plus three new songs produced by legendary record producer Trevor Horn including the radio smash ‘This Is The Love’ and the forthcoming single ‘Steal’.

Tuesday the 14th the band had a very special one-hour ITV 1 special entitled ‘Spandau Ballet True Gold’. Hosted by Christine Bleakley the show sees the band talk very candidly about their career and perform some of their greatest hits.
