Submotion Orchestra‘s new album Alium is not out yet and it’s already earning general consensus from the music industry media. As part of a launching promotional tour, the seven piece band from Leeds visited London on November 14 for a live show at The Forum.

The songs were completely re-arranged and delivered superbly thanks to the great musicianship of the band. Too bad the acoustics in the venue were horrible to say the least, which unfortunately had the audience missing the full enjoyment of some sounds and part of the vocals too. From All Yours to Pop & Lock and It’s Not Me It’s Not You, the band successfully obviated the lack of good acoustics by giving the audience emotionally intense moments of great music and enchanted atmospheres.

All in all the band’s performance was touching, intriguing and highly satisfying for both fans and those who are new to SO’s sound. Apart from being musically skilled, there is a special feeling and a combination of musical personalities in this band that makes their live shows compelling and somehow unpredictably beautiful.
